Introduction
Screen capture feature enables you to make screen captures and provide audio commentary/explanations while you are doing it. It is thus very convenient to e.g. create short help/howto videos.
Making a Screen Capture - Full screen
Screen capture is started by clicking the "Screen Capture" button inside "Project Media Files".
Then you have to select the "Full Screen Capture" option:
It opens the browser's own "Share" modal that allows you to decide what you want to capture; the entire screen, window or a e.g. chrome tab (options may vary depending on your browser).
To start recording your screen capture, click the "Share" button.
You can pause recording by clicking the "Pause" button, then resume recording by clicking "Resume.
Once you are done with your recording, you can click the "Stop" button at the bottom of the recording window. "Cancel" will stop the recording without saving it.
If you clicked "Stop", you can preview your recording in the window, and then either
- make a new recording by clicking "Record new" (your current one will not be saved)
- close the capture window without saving by clicking "Cancel"
- or save what you just recorded by clicking "Save".
Making a Screen Capture - Partial screen or 16:9 capture ratio
Partial screen capture takes place from the same screen capture function. You only need to select “Partial Screen Capture” from this menu.
It opens the settings view where you can choose the size and location of the screen to be captured:
You can also set your capture ratio to 16:9 to get the common video ratio for your screen capture video.
After settings, the capturing can be started after you have given your browser the right to capture your screen:
After stopping the capture, you can either save, cancel or record a new video, the same as with a full screen capture.

By clicking "Change dimension," you cannot change the dimensions of the current capture recording - instead, you can start a new capture with changed settings. This will essentially erase your current recording.
