Embedding Videos to Moodle

Introduction

Moodle is the largest and most used LMS (Learning Management System) in the world.
Icareus videocloud can be used also for managing Moodle learning course videos.
The advantages of using Icareus videocloud are e.g.:
  1. No advertisement (like embedding e.g. videos from YouTube)
  2. No storage consumption of Moodle
  3. Accurate viewing analytics
  4. Branded videoplayers based on your organization
  5. Videos play smoothly and adaptive
There are two ways to include videos from Icareus Videocloud to Moodle courses:
  1. Embedding videos
  2. Inserting videos via LTI-integration interface

Embedding videos to Moodle

To embed videos to your course material, please login to your Moodle environment as administrator.
In the image below you can see Icareus Moodle Learning environment:



Open the course and "Turn editing on" from top right corner:


Push "Edit" button and select "Edit Settings" of the section where you want to add the video:



Push the first "Arrow down" button to see the rest of the tool options:



Select code icon "</>" to open the code of the page:


Open your MyIcareus account, go to Assets and select the video, which you want to embed.
Click "burger" -menu:



And select "Embed", it will open a embed pop-up:


If you want to use dome other video player than default video player, you can select the player from drop down menu. Otherwise highlight & copy the embed code:


And paste it to the Moodle edit box:
