The advantages of using Icareus videocloud are e.g.:
- Easy management, editing and production of videos in Icareus Suite
- No advertisement (like embedding e.g. videos from YouTube)
- No storage consumption
- Accurate viewing analytics
- Branded videoplayers based on your organization or team
- Videos play smoothly and adaptive
Embedding videos to SharePoint
There are two steps that needs to be done when embedding videos from Icareus Suite to SharePoint:
- Allowing embedding content from Icareus Suite
- Embedding video
Allowing embedding content from Icareus Suite
To embed videos to your SharePoint pages, the SharePoint page owner must allow embedding the videos from Icareus Suite web address.
If that is not done, you will get the following notification when embedding the videos:
These instructions can be checked also from Microsoft pages:
However, you can do it by selecting "Site contents" under the specific SharePoint page:
Then on the Site contents page selecting "Site settings" on top right corner:
It will then open the list of the Settings (if you are Page Owner / admin user) and from there you need to select "HTML Field Security" link:
It will open the list web sites from where you can embed content to your Microsoft SharePoint page:
Write "suite.icareus.com" to form and push "Add". Then it will be added to the bottom of the list:
Embedding a video
In order to embed the video, you push "Edit" button to edit the page. Then you can add a new section and there you need to a "</>" Embed element:
After that you can see the embed element on your page and it will open Embed settings on right:
Open your MyIcareus account, go to Assets and select the video, which you want to embed.
Click "burger" -menu:
And select "Embed", it will open a embed pop-up:
If you want to use some other video player than default video player, you can select the player from drop down menu.
Otherwise highlight & copy the iframe part of the embed code:
And paste it to the SharePoint box:

NOTICE that SharePoint expects receiving only iframe code, so you must not put the <div> part to the SharePoint form. E.g.
Full Embed code on Icareus Suite with <div>:
The part you need to copy to SharePoint:
Then the video loads to the page:
Then you just publish / republish the page:
And it is done.
