Embedding videos to WordPress web page

Introduction

WordPress is the most popular website-building platform in the world. It provides many options to add different themes and 3rd party plugins to your site.

Embedding videos to your WordPress site depends on the tools you use on your WordPress site to manage the content.
Here we present some examples:
  1. Embedding video using iFrame embed code + HTML block
  2. Embedding video using Icareus WP Plugin + short code

Embedding videos to WordPress pages

Using iFrame embed code + HTML block

All WordPress Editors include the option to include an HTML block to your web page.
In this example, we show how to use iFrame embedding with the Elementor tool.

First, open the page you want to add the video to.
Select the HTML block option from your tool menu and drag & drop it to where you want to add the video.



Click the HTML block to start editing it.


Go to your account -> Videos and find the find video you want to embed. Open the video's hamburger menu and click the 'Embed' option.


A modal window will open. Iframe will already be selected as the type of embedment. Click the 'Copy' button at the bottom to copy the contents of the text box and close the modal.




Paste it to the HTML editor.

Your video will appear shortly.
Remember to click Save/Update and you're ready to go!

Using Icareus WP Plugin

You'll need need to install Icareus' WP plugin called Icareus Suite VOD.
After the plugin is installed and active, you can use it to embed short code snippets.



Open the page you want to add the video to. Open Content Elements and drag & drop the Code Block element to where on the page you want to add the video.



Open the Code Block element. It will open in a modal window.


Paste the short code to it.
Example:
  1. [icareus-suite-load-video id="XXXXXXXX" width="1280" height="720"]
The video ID you can copy from the video's page. You can also change the video's width and height.

Click "Save".
