Adding new Channels

FEATURES 

Icareus Suite's Channel Management Details -sheet is used for managing single channel configuration or adding a new Channel. 
The parameters that are used with channels are e.g.:

Changes on those parameters are saved by pushing the 'Save' button at the bottom of middle section. 

ADDING THE NEW CHANNEL 

Adding the new channel, you must push 'Add' -button at the bottom of the channel list menu. 
Then there will be an empty Details form. 
Adding a new channel details is done on the on this page: 


Push “Add button” if the form is not empty   
Write channel number to “LOGICAL CHANNEL NUMBER” 
Write channel name number to “NAME” 
Write channel description to “DESCRIPTION” (Optional) 

  1. Push “Add button” if the form is not empty   
  2. Write channel number to “LOGICAL CHANNEL NUMBER” (Mandatory) 
  3. Write channel name number to “NAME” (Mandatory) 
  4. Write channel description to “DESCRIPTION” (Optional)  
  5. Select aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9  (Mandatory) 
  6. Select language (Optional, used only, if channels are grouped based on language) 
  7. Select Audio only, if the channel is Radio channel (Optional) 
  8. Select Categories (Optional, used only, if large amount of channels)  
  9. Publishing Info (Do not add): 
    1. Ingest URL (Automatically provided by Suite) 
    2. Stream name (Automatically provided by Suite) 
  10. Timeshift: 
  11. Timeshift duration (Optional, used only if the channel streams are delayed, "DelayTV") 
  12. Timeshift timezone (Optional) 

 

  • Select SD or HD for channel video quality (Optional) 
  • Select visibility: (Mandatory) 
    • Private : End-user must login to service 
    • Public : Everybody sees, who has URL  
    • Exclusive : Must include to content Package 
  • Open Channel Icons. Size e.g. 140x140 px, can be same for every Small/Medium/Large (Optional) 

After you have filled at least the Mandatory parameters to Details form, push 'Save' button to create the new channel. The Channel is ready!
