Sports Broadcaster overview
Introduction
Icareus Sports Broadcaster is a mobile app for broadcasting games live. With the app, you can stream your club’s games either manually, one game at a time, or automatically according to the schedule of a selected venue.
The app is especially intended for clubs, teams, and game event camera operators who want to start a live stream easily using a mobile device, without complex production equipment.

Login
You log in to Broadcaster using the same credentials as for the streaming service Admin Dashboard.
Your login remains valid for 25 days. After that, you need to log in again.

Home
After logging in, the app opens automatically to the Home view, in the manual mode start view.
Home is the main view of the app, where the user can select the streaming mode:
- Manual
- Auto
Both modes only show games for the user’s own club. The user’s club is shown in the profile.
Manual mode
In manual mode, the user selects the game to be streamed. Manual mode is suitable when the camera operator is present for a single game and wants to control when the stream starts and stops.

Auto mode
In Auto mode, the app automatically streams scheduled games at the selected venue one after another. The user selects the venue, after which the app loads the game schedule for that venue.
Auto mode is especially useful when several games are played on the same field or at the same venue during the same day, and the streams should start according to the schedule.

Profile
In the Profile view, the user can see their own account details and club-related information.
The displayed information includes:
- user’s name
- email address
- club name
- club ID
The user can also log out of the app from the Profile page.
Settings
In Settings, the user can configure technical and user interface options related to streaming.
Video quality
The user can choose the stream video quality from different presets. The options are:
Quality | Resolution | Bitrate | Frame rate |
Standard quality | 1024 × 576 | 1800 kbps | 25 fps |
HD | 1280 × 720 | 3500 kbps | 25 fps |
Full HD | 1920 × 1080 | 7000 kbps | 50 fps |
The frame rate is set automatically based on the selected quality.
Streaming mode
There are two options for the stream bitrate:
Fixed bitrate
Locks the stream quality to the selected preset. This is best suited for stable network connections.
Adaptive bitrate
The app automatically lowers the quality if the network connection slows down, and improves the quality again when the connection gets better.
Settings changes take effect at the start of the next stream.
Appearance
In the appearance settings, the user can select the app language and theme.

Diagnostics
Settings also include the Share diagnostics log function. It allows the user to share log information with the developer, for example when investigating crashes or other issues.
