Introduction
This article explains how to stream a game using manual mode in Sports Broadcaster.
Manual mode is suitable when the user starts and stops the stream manually for a single game.
Before you start
Before a game can be streamed with the Broadcaster app, an administrator must schedule the game for the club, team, or organization in the streaming platform’s admin panel.
Please note:
- Broadcaster only shows games for your own club or team.
- Upcoming games are shown in the Upcoming games list.
- When the scheduled streaming time approaches or starts, the game moves to the Live section.
- From the game shown in the Live section, you can open the streaming view and start the stream.
1. Open Broadcaster and select Manual
Open the Sports Broadcaster app. You may be required to log in.
When you log in to Broadcaster, your login remains valid for 25 days. After that, you need to log in again.
At the top of the home screen, there are two modes:
- Manual
- Auto
Select Manual.
In manual mode, you can see your own club’s games and start the stream yourself.
2. Select the game shown in the Live section
When the game has been scheduled in the admin panel and the streaming time is approaching or has started, the game appears in the Live section of the app.

Open the game by tapping the action button on the Live card. In the screenshot, this button is labeled
Continue streaming.
Below the game, you can also see upcoming games under Upcoming games. These games cannot be streamed yet.
3. Allow camera and microphone access
When you open the streaming view for the first time, your phone may ask for permission to use the microphone and camera. Allow both permissions.
The app needs access to the microphone and camera to produce the live stream.
If these permissions are not allowed, streaming will not work correctly. In that case, you need to allow camera and microphone access from your phone’s settings.
4. Check the streaming view
The streaming view opens in landscape mode.
In this view, you can see information and controls such as:
- stream status: Not live or Live
- network connection quality
- stream key
- bitrate
- frame rate
- mute/unmute button
- front/back camera switch button
- record/stop recording button
Before starting the stream, make sure the phone is placed in a good filming position, the network connection is stable, and the device is charging if needed.
5. Start streaming
When you are ready to start the stream, tap the red record button:

The app shows a confirmation dialog.
Confirm by tapping Start streaming.
After this, the app shows a countdown.
When the countdown ends, the stream starts.
6. During the stream
During the stream, you can monitor the connection status, bitrate, and frame rate from the streaming view.
You can also:
- mute or unmute the microphone using the microphone button
- switch between the phone’s front and rear camera using the camera switch button
- zoom the camera image with your fingers
Do not lock the phone or close the app during the stream. We recommend keeping the phone stable and in place throughout the game.
Zooming in the streaming view
You can zoom in the streaming view the same way as in your phone’s normal camera app.
Zoom directly on the camera image:
- zoom in by spreading two fingers apart
- zoom out by pinching two fingers together
Zooming affects the image that is sent to viewers in the live stream. You can use zoom, for example, when you want to frame the field, players, or a specific game situation more closely.
Use zoom carefully so that the image remains stable and the game situation is as clear as possible for viewers. If possible, first adjust the phone’s position and camera direction before starting the stream, and use zoom only when needed during the stream.
7. Stop streaming
When the game or stream should be ended, tap the red stop button:

The app shows a confirmation dialog:
Select Stop streaming if you are sure you want to end the stream.
When the stream is stopped, the app closes the streaming connection and shows a message while the connection is being closed.
Troubleshooting
The game does not appear in the list
Make sure the game has been scheduled for the correct club or team in the admin panel. Broadcaster only shows games for your own club.
The camera or microphone does not work
Check your phone’s settings and make sure Broadcaster has permission to use the camera and microphone.
The stream does not start
Check the network connection and make sure the game is shown in the Live section. If needed, close the streaming view and open the game again.
The connection is weak
Use the most stable mobile or Wi-Fi connection available. If needed, lower the video quality in the app settings before starting the next stream.
