Icareus Video Cloud Moodle Integration Guide (LTI Setup)

Integrating with Moodle via LTI interface

Introduction

This guide explains how to integrate Icareus Video Cloud with your Moodle environment using LTI.

Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) is a standard developed by 1EdTech formerly known as IMS Global Learning Consortium at the time of creation. It enables seamless integration between learning systems and external systems.

Configuring the Icareus LTI Tool

Follow these steps:
  1. Log in to Moodle as an administrator
  2. Navigate to: Site administration → Plugins → Activity modules → External tool (Icareus Video) → Manage tools
  3. Click “Configure a tool manually”

Verification

To verify the integration:
  1. Go to any course
  2. Add a new activity
  3. Select External tool
  4. Choose Icareus LTI 3 from the preconfigured tools list
  5. Launch the tool and confirm it opens correctly
