Icareus Studio Interface Overview

Getting started with Icareus Studio

Introduction

The Icareus Studio editor is where you create and edit your videos. The interface is divided into several main areas: the top bar, media panel, preview canvas, and timeline. This article provides an overview of each section and links to detailed guides for specific features.

The top bar contains global project controls and settings.

  1. Icareus Studio logo – Opens the projects page.
  2. Media panel toggle – Hide or show the media panel
  3. Theme switch – Switches between light/dark mode.
  4. Notifications – Displays a list of recently exported renders, provides links to them, and shows their status.
  5. Save icon – Saves the project.
  6. Render Video button – Renders and exports the project to the account’s media library.

Media Tools & Settings Panel

The left sidebar contains tools for adding and managing content and effects in your project.

Settings

The Settings icon is located at the bottom of the sidebar.
Use it to access project or editor settings.

Preview Canvas

The preview canvas shows your video as it will appear in the final export. It displays the current frame of your video. Changes made on the timeline are reflected here in real time. You can move, shrink, grow and turn elements on the canvas with your cursor.

Aspect Ratio

Use the aspect ratio selector (e.g., 16:9) to define the video’s dimensions.
Changing the aspect ratio updates the preview canvas and affects the exported video.

Timeline

The timeline is where you arrange and edit your clips.
Add videos, images, text, and audio to the timeline to build your project. You can trim clips, adjust their position, and control timing.
