SwitchIn Format and Configuration

Introduction

SwitchIn is a simple ad format where viewers are shown a Display ad when they enter a TV channel.

In order to successfully display SwitchIns on a device, the following things are required:
  1. HbbTV Launcher / Red-button Application
  2. SwitchIn Campaign
  3. Creative

Adding an SwitchIn Campaign

Campaigns can be added in Icareus Suite by navigating to 'Monetization' > 'Campaigns'


Icareus Suite Parameters needed for Switch In Campaigns

CHANNELS
      The list of channels on which this campaign will be active (=broadcasted). Requires that Icareus Ad Library is loaded with the autostart application on the channel. Channels are defined on Icareus Suite and need to match the broadcasted channels (name, PID, network ID, ...). Each used channel must be selected and the format of Switch-In Ad should be defined, see section below

      At the moment only "User/Custom Input" is supported

Advert Application
      Icareus Advert Application instance that is used to manage the Display Ads used in this SwitchIn campaign
 
Advert Id 
      Id of the image that is used for this campaign. Selectable images are configured in Advert Application

Visible Time in seconds
      How long the Display Ad should be shown to viewers (depend on the time of the linear commercial)
 
Interaction time in seconds
      The time user can press Yellow button to activate the call-to-action. This can be longer than the actual Visible Time in Seconds

      The total number of Impressions per day

      The maximum of total Impressions for this campaign

Last Show Time

      Black or white list to include or exclude certain Devices from this campaign (as an example HbbTV 1.1 devices or badly performing TV)

      Device Types that are included/excluded to this campaign. Devices are defined in Icareus Suite Devices -view
