ActiveAd Configuration
Introduction
In order to successfully display Active Ads on a device, the following things are required:
- HbbTV Launcher Application
- Active Ad Campaign
- Creative
Adding an Active Ad Campaign
Campaigns can be added in Icareus Suite by navigating to 'Monetization' > 'Campaigns'
To create a new Campaign, click the 'Add' -button.
Select 'Active Ad' as the Campaign Type, and make sure to select the correct Channel for the campaign.
Make sure to select a Creative to use with the campaign if 'Ad Platform' is 'Icareus Suite' or add an 'Ad Tag Url' if using 'AdForm' as the 'Ad Platform'.
To make it so that Playout sends the triggers to display this campaign automatically, add values for 'Display Times' as a comma separated list of UNIX timestamps in milliseconds.
Playout will send triggers when the values set in Display Times match the Playout Server's time!
Adding a Creative
Creatives can be added in Icareus Suite by navigating to 'Monetization' > 'Creatives'.
Name | Description |
Name | The name of the Creative |
Type | Type of the Creative |
Activation Type | Either 'None', 'Application' or 'External URL'. This determines what happens when a user clicks on the advert by pressing the interaction key. If type is set to 'Application', the selected Icareus Suite Application is launcher upon activation. Otherwise the specified external URL is opened. |
