Managing Subscribers

Introduction

Subscribers are the end users of Icareus Suite service.

With OPTIONAL Subscriber module you can restrict and deepen to relationship with your video service viewers, required especially if:

  • You want to charge the viewers for the content
  • Your content is targeted for the specific restricted group
  • You want to track the viewers
  • You want to market your new content/service to the viewers and you need them to register / subscribe to get their email or other contact info

With subscriber module you are able to control and manage the viewers of your video service:

  • Manage the list of your subscribers
  • See the subscriptions and purchases of your subscribers
  • Delete / Edit / Block subscriber accounts
  • Change the passwords of the subscribers
  • Manage the devices of the subscribers (if used)

Subscribers usually register via web form by themselves, but naturally the subscriber module provides an opportunity for administrator to create new subscriber accounts.

Subscriber module is a key tool to provide end-customer service.

Search
Search function can be used for searching the specific subscriber based on the subscriber details like name, email, device id etc.
List of subscriber
List of subscriber: 
The list shows the subscriber of your videos service in alphabetical order. Click the subscriber name and you can see the details. There is also a quick ‘delete’ button.

Adding new subscribers
Usually the subscribers register through web form, but you can create new subscriber accounts by clicking the ‘Add’ button.

Search is naturally a convenient tool when finding the correct subscriber from the large subscriber database.

You can search the subscriber e.g. based on the name, email, device's MAC address or serial number etc. 

You just need to write the search parameters to search box and then push "ENTER". See image below (where the Search is done based on the device Serial number.)

The used subscribers details depends about the configuration of your service.

My Subscriptions
If the service provider uses Icareus Suite to provide premium content with subscription model, then this "My Subscriptions" is in use. It lists the subscriptions of the each subscriber.

On My devices - sheet, you can see the devices that are in use for each subscriber.

Admin Notes
The Administrator can add admin note for Subscriber about the support call etc.

MY SUBSCRIPTIONS

On this sheet you can see subscriber's subscriptions. With each subscription, you can also see, how long it is valid, e.g.  Sport 1 package “Valid Until 20-09-2015 10:20:13”. (See below):



MY DEVICES

On My devices - sheet, you can see the devices that are in use for each subscriber. It is used only if the service provider has the OTT service that uses specific set-top boxes or wants to limit the number of devices that can be used under one subscription, e.g. 1 x set-top boxes, 1 x iOS phone, 1 x Android phone, 1 x Desktop etc.


In the image above, you can see one set-top box for the subscriber showing the serial number.


ADMIN NOTES

On Admin notes - sheet, the Administrator can add admin note for Subscriber: go to SUBSCRIBER -> Search correct Subscriber -> Select ADMIN NOTES. That can be used e.g. to write some notes about the support phone call under subscriber or if some additional voucher are given or devices changed. See image below.
