Introduction and Main Features
EPG Events tab shows the electronic program guide for the linear channel familiar from TV. EPG is key for viewers to know "what's on" the channel and to plan their daily TV viewing.
Icareus EPG system also support enhanced program information and e.g. linking to catch-up services to encourage viewers also access past programming.
EPG events area is also used with Webinars, which are automatically added as Channels' EPG events.
The metadata can be extended as required by the customers and is derived originally from DVB EIT.
The EPG Events tab is presented below.
Ingest EPG Events Automatically
In majority of use cases, EPG events are provided by the broadaster or operator. For this reason Icareus has implemented many parsers to help our customers to ingest EPG data.
Please refer to chapter
