Games Section in the Admin Dashboard

Admin Dashboard: Games

Introduction

This article explains how the Games section of the admin dashboard works and what admins can do in each part of it.

The Games section is used to manage game content and streams. Admins can view live, upcoming, and played games, create new games, and open individual game pages to manage game details, stream information, recordings, images, sharing, and analytics.

The Games section includes:
  1. Live: Shows games that are currently being streamed.
  2. Upcoming Games: Shows scheduled games that have not started yet.
  3. Played Games: Shows games that have already taken place.
  4. Create Game: Opens the flow for creating a new game.

Game cards

Live, upcoming, and played games are displayed as game cards.

A game card may show:
  1. Game image, thumbnail, or placeholder image
  2. Scheduled date and time
  3. Teams or participants
  4. Competition or series information
  5. Sports camera system used for the stream, if available, such as Spiideo, Pixellot, or Veo
  6. LIVE label, if the game is currently live

Clicking a game card opens the game detail page.

Game Lists

Live

The Live page shows games that are currently being streamed.

Admins can use this page to monitor active games and open live game details.

Upcoming games

The Upcoming Games page shows scheduled games that have not started yet.

Admins can use this page to review upcoming streams, check game information before the event, and prepare games for streaming.

Played Games

The Played Games page shows games that have already taken place.

Admins can use this page to find completed games, access recordings, manage post-game tools, and review game-specific analytics.

Creating or editing a game

The game creation and editing flows use the same main steps:
  1. Game Type
  2. Game Information
  3. Pricing
When creating a new game from Games > Create Game, the flow starts from Game Type.

When editing an existing game from the game detail page, the flow opens directly at Game Information.

Game Type

Admins select what type of game they want to create. Available options are:

  1. Practise
  2. Series
  3. Tournament

After selecting the game type, click Next to continue to game information.

Game Information

The Game Information step is used to add or update the main details of the game.

The fields shown in this step depend on the selected game type.

All game types include these fields:
  1. Name
  2. Team Name
  3. Opponent
  4. Description
  5. Start Time
  6. Duration
The fields that change by game type are:
  1. Practise
    1. Home Team Logo URL
    2. Away Team Logo URL
  2. Series
    1. Select club
    2. Select game
    3. Toggle to include automatic scoreboard from result service
  3. Tournament
    1. Tournament name
    2. Home Team Logo URL
    3. Away Team Logo URL

Info
The Automatic scoreboard from result service setting is available for series games. When enabled, the scoreboard updates automatically from the result service.
This setting is locked 30 minutes before the game starts. When automatic scoreboard is active, the scoreboard cannot be controlled through the broadcaster mobile application.

Pricing

The Pricing step is used to set access and package options for the game.

Depending on the service setup, this step may include:
  1. Game price
  2. Default packages to add to the game
  3. Country availability settings
  4. Country blacklist settings

Info
The game price will be locked after the game has been created. If the price needs to changed, the game will need to be deleted and recreated with the correct price.

When creating a new game, complete this step to create the game. When editing an existing game, save the changes to update the game.

Game detail pages

Creating a game or clicking a created game on a game list page opens its game detail page.

The available tools and information depend on whether the game is upcoming, live, or played.

Common items on a game detail page include:
  1. Game information, such as teams, date, time, duration, venue, and location
  2. Edit and Delete actions
  3. Link to the public game page
  4. Game image or thumbnail tools
  5. Share game option
  6. Streaming details
  7. Technical identifiers

Differences by game status

Live

In addition to the normal game details, a live game page includes a video player preview in the top right corner. This allows admins to monitor the active stream directly from the dashboard. A live game page also has analytics.

Played game

Played game detail pages include the game recording (and the toggle to make the recording downloadable), post-game tools, clip creation, event tools, and analytics.

Game information panel

The game detail page includes a main information panel with the key details of the selected game.

This information is also shown on the public-facing game page, except for the admin-only buttons and actions.

The panel can include:
  1. Home team and away team: Shown with team names and logos when available. If no team-specific logo is set, placeholder logos are shown instead.
  2. Competition or series information: Shown under the teams.
  3. Date and start time: The scheduled date and time of the game.
  4. Duration: The expected or actual length of the game.
  5. Game location: The location where the game takes place.
  6. Game organizer: The organization responsible for the game.
  7. Game description: Shown as a text line below the location and organizer information. Additional description text for the game.

Admin actions at the bottom of the panel:
  1. Edit: Open the game editing flow.
  2. Delete: Remove the game.
  3. Public page: Open the public-facing game page.

Recording tools

For played games, the game detail page may include one or more recordings and related post-game tools.

Each recording includes its own controls:
  1. Copy video URL: Copies the video URL to the clipboard.
  2. Download recording: Downloads the recording or clip.
  3. Delete video: Deletes the video from the game.
  4. Create clip: Creates a new video clip from the recording. After the clip is created, it is added to the game’s admin page as a separate recording item with its own controls.
  5. Download toggle: Controls whether the recording or clip is available for download, if this option is enabled for the service.
  6. Add event: Adds chapters/timestamps to the selected recording, helping viewers find specific moments in the video.
If a game has multiple recordings or clips, an additional tool is available:
  1. Join selected clips: Combines selected recordings or clips into one video.

The public-facing game page shows the available recordings and clips in a list. Clicking a recording opens it on its own page.

Streaming details

The Streaming detail section includes the stream connection information for the game.

This includes:
  1. Streaming Address: The server address used by the encoder or camera system to send the live stream.
  2. Stream Key: The unique stream key for the game. This connects the incoming stream to the correct game.
Use the copy buttons next to the fields to copy the values.

Use these details when:
  1. Setting up an external encoder
  2. Connecting a camera system or production tool
  3. Checking that the stream is being sent to the correct game
  4. Sharing stream setup details with a trusted production partner
Warning
Do not share the Stream Key publicly. Anyone with the stream address and stream key may be able to send video to that game’s stream.

Identifiers

The Identifiers section contains internal IDs for the game and organization.

It includes:
  1. Event ID: The identifier for the event.
  2. Game ID: The identifier for the game.
  3. Organization ID: The identifier for the organization that owns or manages the game.

These identifiers are used by admins when contacting support about a specific game, or by support for debugging.

Use the copy buttons next to the fields to copy the values.
